Teeth are important but so are your gums. Gum (Periodontal) health affects not only our mouth, but can affect your general health too. At Shrubbery Dental, we understand that maintaining healthy gums is essential for overall oral health and a confident smile. Our dedicated team is committed to providing  effective periodontal therapy to address and manage gum disease, ensuring your gums stay in the best possible condition. We believe that proactive care and education are key to preventing gum-related issues, and we are here to guide you on the path to optimal periodontal health.

Thorough evaluation

Our experienced team  will perform a thorough evaluation of your gums to determine the extent of any gum disease, both current and historic. Risk factors will be discussed and a treatment plan will be tailored to your specific needs, ensuring a personalised and effective approach.

Non-surgical solutions

In many cases, early-stage gum disease can be successfully managed without surgery. Our non-surgical periodontal therapies, including scaling and root planing, are designed to remove plaque and tartar build-up, halt disease progression, and promote healing.

We are very lucky to be able to offer the EMS Perioflow system. This is a new technology where a gentle powder is blown on and underneath the gumline, with warmed air, to clear away the bacteria and associated toxins that cause gum disease thus helping halt its progression.

Advanced surgical procedures

For more advanced cases, we offer referral to trusted colleagues for specialist advice and surgical treatments such as gum grafts and pocket reduction surgery to restore gum health and prevent tooth loss. Our skilled team uses the latest techniques and technology to ensure the best possible outcomes.

Ongoing support

At Shrubbery Dental, we believe in empowering our patients with the knowledge and tools they need, for long-term gum health. 90% of gum disease can be treated at home so it is of paramount importance you have full guidance on effective, at-home oral hygiene regimes and regular follow ups to monitor and maintain your gum health.

"My first time at the practice today and really happy with the experience from start to finish. All the staff were really friendly and helpful and made you feel welcome.

I Usually suffer with nerves and anxiety about the dentist but after visiting the practice today I can safely say my fear is a thing of the past. Anyone looking for an excellent practice that may be a nervous patient look no further! Looking forward to my next appointment."
