We are delighted to provide Invisalign at Shrubbery Dental. This innovative system enables gentle, planned movements of your teeth into new, favourable positions. We no longer need to use metal brackets and braces in a multitude of cases and the near-invisible nature of Invisalign means it is discreet and most people will be totally unaware that you are wearing an appliance.

If the thought of visible wires or food stuck in brackets has been putting you off fixing your dental imperfections, this hassle-free alternative could be just the thing for you.

It truly is a wonderful way to improve the appearance of your smile by moving your teeth into alignment and also to improve the health of your mouth, by making teeth more easy to clean and potentially enhancing the way your teeth bite together.

How it works

We are happy to offer free consultations to discuss the process of Invisalign and whether it is right for you.

At this appointment we will use our digital scanner to create a 3D model of your teeth and run a simulation of what we can achieve with treatment, giving you your end of treatment predicted results. Any adjustments can be made together and once you are happy we can order your aligners and begin treatment without delay.

Your custom trays will be fitted and checked, then the rest is up to you!
Invisalign requires less appointments than traditional, fixed braces, although we will need to see you now and again to check that everything is going as planned.

Each set of aligners needs to be worn for at least 22 hours per day, and you will change them as as recommended– as you do so, your teeth will be moved gently to the desired position, as outlined in your treatment plan.

How long does it take?

The time it takes to straighten your smile depends on how much movement is required. In most cases improvements are seen very quickly and in some cases, treatment is completed in as little as six months.

The more consistent you are with wearing your Invisalign aligners, the quicker your overall treatment time will be. The aligners must be worn for as much of the day and night as possible, 22 hours, this will directly impact on how long treatment takes.

What are the benefits v. traditional braces?

Invisalign aligners are almost invisible, meaning this is a very discreet experience, no one needs to know you’re having treatment!

They are removable, making eating, drinking and cleaning your teeth far more convenient and stress-free. You can even take them out for short periods of time for meetings or socialising, as long as you remember to put them right back in afterwards!
